Kamisato Ayaka

Kamisato Ayaka is a Cryo Sword Character that specializes as a DPS.

Overview

Ayaka is popular because of her satifying playstyle. She can weave through enemies with her special dash, she can rapidly dish out huge amounts of Cryo damage without much trouble, and although her Burst has been nerfed, it can still shred through enemies.

Elemental Skill: Kamisato Art: Hyouka

Casting Ayaka’s Elemental Skill will create a blooming ice around her that will launch smaller enemies into the air, dealing AOE Cryo damage.

This ability doesn’t have too long of an animation, but it can be shortened by dashing, which you’ll want to do for your combo’s sake anyway. This is her main source of energy, creating 4-5 particles per use, and you ideally want to fit in 2 uses of it in a rotation to drastically lower her ER% needs.


Elemental Burst: Kamisato Art: Soumetsu

Summons forth a snowstorm with flawless poise, unleashing a Frostflake Seki no To that moves forward continuously.

Frostflake Seki no To: A storm of whirling icy winds that slashes repeatedly at every enemy it touches, dealing Cryo DMG.The snowstorm explodes after its duration ends, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.

Her elemental burst is the main shareholder of her kit’s damage by a long shot, and is one of the strongest elemental bursts in the game as of the writing of this guide. This is what you absolutely cannot mess up. Ayaka’s Elemental Burst will unleash 19 cuts in a spherical AOE followed up by a final explosion. This ability snapshots, meaning that its stats will be taken from the moment you cast it, rather than changing throughout its duration.

Constellations

C1: Snowswept Sakura

Sadly this is a wasted constellation, as not only is its effect insignificant, but the time cut off from Elemental Skill does not change how many uses of it she gets in a rotation.

C2: Blizzard Blade Seki no To

This constellation is good at dealing with split apart and very large enemies, adding a good chunk of additional damage and a significant amount of Cryo application, but doesn’t perform as well against medium/small sized enemies. It doesn't restore the power she had before the nerf, but it gets close.

C3: Frostbloom Kamifubuki

+3 to her Burst, great increase in damage.

C4: Ebb and Flow

Ayaka’s most impactful constellation. Defense shred is one of the hardest effects to find, and she has a very potent instance of it. If you want to give her any constellations, this is the one to aim for.

C5: Blossom Cloud Irutsuki

+3 to her Skill. Not worth it.

C6: Butterfly’s Embrace

Provides a decent damage increase, but not recommended for anyone except whales to get.


Teams

Ayaka is an amazing DPS, but she requires a teammate who can apply Hydro to the enemy. She shines in Freeze teams, but some Melt teams can also work.
